Hi there,
Do you know if it is possible for a PSP to play online against a PS3?

At the moment there is no feature for the PSP to play online against playing on a PS3. While linking the PS3 and PSP is possible (See Below link) and technically you can down load PSP games onto the PS3 there is no available games that are online linkable that can be played networkable.
In theory it probably quite possible for you to be able to do so (Probably more so with the PSP-Go than any existing UMD based PSP) All you would need is the same game on each machine internal hard drive and it linkable over a network server. I guess no-on has done it, although anything played on a PS3 is going to have better processing/networking power giving a PS3 user a bit of an advantage over a PSP user.
