In my house the power to the outlets is hooked to the light switches and when the switch is shut off, everything that is plugged into that outlet shuts off as well. We were playing the wii and paused it to step away for a moment, when one of my friends flipped the switch and shut it off. When we turned it back on however, everything that was plugged into the outlet turned back on, except for the wii. Now the wii will not turn on at all no matter what outlet that it is plugged into. Do you know what might have happened?? And if so, is this fixable?

It sounds like your Wii might have shorted out. It's hard to say exactly what the problem is, though. You should take it in to the store where you bought it to see if they can help, or call Nintendo support at 1-800-255-3700. They would probably be able to help you more and figure out whether the problem can be fixed.
