Question
hi iam AJ. i just want to know how to hook up my playstation 2 to my grandparents dish network television. no HD or internet. just to be able to play

Answer
Gday AJ,

That would really depend on what kind of connector the TV/Disk Network receiver has and what type of connection cable you have for you PS2.  Usually most modern TV's will have at least one AV Plug (Has 3 plugs yellow, red, white), maybe even the Disk Network Receiver has additional AV ports. If it does not and only the RF hookup (Has a plug similar to cable or antenna)

The AV is going to be the simplest you would just connect the color coded plugs into one on the input the TV has or the Disk Network TV.  Switch to that AV input channel (If you plug it in the TV it will be a TV setting) and if you are connection to the Disk Box it will be an input setting on the remote.

The RF is going to be a bit harder.  It could be plugged into either the TV or the Disk Box.  It plugs in where the cable or antenna would go and you then plug that cable into the RF box.  There is going to be a channel selector on the RF Box either Channel 3 or 4.  If you plug it into the TV you would have to tune it into that channel.  Where as if you plug it into the Disk Network Box you would have to change the TV to whatever channel you watch your Dish on and then tune the Disk to channel 3 or 4.  (Although it might not work at all with the Dish because it is converting the signal to digital and the PS2 is only outputting in the analog standard)

Hope this helps you out.
