Console Games (Nintendo, Sony etc.) and Arcade Games/Mortal Kombat Armagedan 4 Wii

Question
I purchased this Mortal Kombat video game for Wii recently, and from the box I would assume this is the last Mortal Kombat game they plan on making. Is that true? And I've been away from MK games for a while so I am wondering why Liu Kang appears to be a zombie? lol. What is the story behind this one, and have other people complained that it is hard to use the Wii controlers for the game? Thanks.

Answer
Gday James,

You probably own Mortal Kombat: Armageddon released in 2007 for the Wii which was not the last Mortal Kombat game the last in the series was Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe (Available on Xbox 360 and PS3 back in 2008).

Mortal Kombat games are not going away, recently Warner Brothers bought out the bankrupt Midway (One of the main reasons was because of the MK franchise.)  Mortal Kombat 9 is in the works now but will be published by WB Games and not Midway should be out around 2010.

Yes the Wii controller is a pain in the butt to use on this type of fighting game I would invest in a classic controller if I was you.

Liu Kang as a Zombie.  Okay for those following along with the story.  In MK5 Deadly Alliance Shang Tsung & Quan Chi decide to join forces and they are able to kill off Liu Kang (Yep the bad guys actually did something right).  MK6 Deception Raiden, who is now evil, re-animates the body of Liu Kang and sends him off on a Killing Spree.  MK 7 Armageddon Liu Kang has partially regained control over his Zombie body but he is still dead.

Hope this helps
