Console Games (Nintendo, Sony etc.) and Arcade Games/Wii internet

Question
I bought my 10 year old son the Wii and he loves Mario Cart. He asked me to set up internet play for him, and I was able to to link the Wii console to my wireless internet connection. Now I am trying to figure out how he can get into a race with strangers. I see the part about registering my console and how I could register his friends consoles, but he weants to be able to play whenever he has the time, and joining a game with others who happen to be online seems like the best way to go. Is this possible to do? How do I help him to get into a race with strangers?

Answer
Gday Dave,

I would swing over to

http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/channelsMarioKartWii.jsp

This gives you instructions on adding a Mario Kart Channel to your Wii with all the setting you will need to be able to play online.

Hope this helps
