Question I once played a fun game in a Japanese arcade around 1990 that I don't know the name of. I have tried asking at video game stores here in the US for it but it doesn't sound familiar to anyone so I'm assuming it is only an imported game. I will try my best to describe it. The character you play as is young girl. She is young and has dark hair. The first stage takes place at a carnival. Many of the enemies look like hopping hamburgers. One of the powerups you can get makes morphs of you trailing behind as you run forward, kind of like Ninja Guiden II. The end goal of the stage you have to jump through what looks like a huge upright dart board with numbers on it. The graphics look like Namco but I'm just making a guess. I hope you can help me because I've always wanted this game!
Answer Gday Adrian,
That was a tough one. Being a child of the 80's Arcade scene I usually have no problems on these because I've usually seen or played them but this one took me a while. By the way you had some nice hints that led me to the game.
I hope the game you are looking for is called Marvel Land or in some PAL territories it was called Talmit's Adventure released in 1989 by Namco (Great guess on your part)
The arcade game was only ever released on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive in 1991 although it has made it's way to the Wii virtual Console but only in Japan.
Hope this helps.
