Question
Hey.  Can I trade between the Red/Blue first-gen games using two Game Boy Advances? Or does the trading have to be done with an older Game Boy?

Answer
You can trade between Red/Blue, but you can't trade from Red/Blue to Ruby/Sapphire. You can use a GameBoy Advance to trade Red/Blue Pokémon, but you must use a GameBoy Colour link cable. I've tried it, and it doesn't work with a GameBoy Advance link cable.
