Question Hello,
I had bought a PS2 console and lots of PS2 game DVDs from Japan. All are in NTSC. Recently, I intend to buy a new TV (LG M237). However, I'm not sure whether it's compatible with NTSC. It's technique feature said it has integrated tunner PAL/SECAM and DVB-T. Does it mean that I can't use my PS2 and this TV to play with the NTSC game DVDs? How do you think about that? And what advices do you have?
Answer Gday Junxiang,
On looking at the manual I doubt it will work with normal AV cables or thru the Coxal Jack. The TV/monitor seams to have a PAL tuner.
But the Component inputs look to be able to handle both PAL and NTSC standards on it (480p %26 480i). So your best bet would be buy a component cable and hook up your PS2 with it up. Can't be 100% sure it will work but that would be the best bet.
I also think you need a PS2 model SCPH-50001 or higher to make this work. (slims should all be okay) You will also have to set your TV into the 480P mode.
