Console Games (Nintendo, Sony etc.) and Arcade Games/PAL G

Question
Hi I live in Australia and have brought a SNES NES dual gaming console from china. They are telling me that PAL G and B are the Same format but will be bad quality in Australia. What is the best format to work in Australia?

Answer
Gday Christy,

Australia Uses both PAL G (UHF) and PAL B (VHF).  The only real difference between the 2 is the Channel Bandwidth.  China I believe runs on PAL D while the lines, fields and active lines are the same the the sound and video run at a higher MHz.  does that mean the video and audio maybe off.  (Possibly but I am not 100% sure)

Your Duel Deck coming out of China will work fine on your Australian TV, I can't give 100% answer for sure on the quality.  (Not that the clone systems give 100% quality when it comes to NES games, the SNES system is almost identical to real hardware)

Hope this helps
