QuestionOk right now I am at the point to where I can try to beat the Elite Four again with stronger Pokemon. I want a team that is diverse and doesn't have a ton of Legendary Pokemon.
My Pokemon that I have right now is a Wobbuffet Lv.40, Unown Lv.30, a Rotom Lv.20, Wooper Lv.30, Fearow Lv.51, Luxray Lv.55, Staraptor Lv.46, Azelf Lv.50, Rhydon Lv.54, Floatzel Lv.52, Uxie Lv.50, Lucario Lv.48, Giratina Lv.61, Dialga Lv74, Palkia Lv.70, Heatran Lv. 56, EmpoleonLv.75, Cresselia Lv.50, Zapdos Lv.60, and Mesprit Lv.50. This is the total list of all the Pokemon I have obtained playing Pokemon Platinum. I am willing to go and catch new Pokemon if that is needed. I have looked at other sites for help but nothing came up. My maximum Legendary Pokemon limit for my party is 3. No more than 3. So if someone could please help me I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
P.S. I have no Action Replay and I can't trade from other games so the only way is to get the Pokemon that are in the game and can be caught in the game.
P.S.S And if you know the whereabouts of a Shiny Stone on Pokemon Platinum please tell me.
AnswerYou can find a Shiny Stone in Route 228, at the end of the narrow bridge. There's also a shiny stone in the last room of the caves in Iron Island. Lastly, a Pokémon above level 41 with the Pickup ability has a 3% chance of getting a Shiny Stone. There's a 5% chance of finding a Shiny Stone if the Pokémon is at least level 51, and a 10% chance if the Pickup Pokémon is at least level 61.
As for the Elite Four, I can give you some advice for the rematch. Type matching is most important, as a proper attack can take out an Elite Four member's pokémon in 1 shot. Keep in mind that an attack gets a 1.5 X damage multiplier if it shares a type with the Pokémon that used it, and an additional 2X multiplier if it is super-effective.
Be sure to have many healing items, since you may find yourself stalling for time against Cynthia to revive your powerful battlers. Don't be afraid to save before each battle, to ensure better results.
Of your Pokémon, I recommend you use the following:
Empoleon
Heatran
Zapdos (Level it up, it's very useful all-around)
Rhydon
Giratina
Something with an Ice-type move (possibly Empoleon)
I've written more in-depth guides to each battle for you, if you care to read them for tips:
Against Aaron, Heatran will be effective, but watch out for Heracross' fighting moves. A solid Flying attack from Zapdos should knock out Heracross, while a good Ground move should take his Drapion. Empoleon could also stomp Drapion without taking too much damage, but be sure to keep healing items for later.
Against Bertha, water-type attacks will work against anything except Whiscash. I recommend you use Surf on everything, and use Zapdos' Drill Peck to deal with Whiscash if Empoleon can't.
Flint's team is very weak to Water attacks. Sunny Day raises the power of Fire attacks while reducing Water's power, so Rain Dance will help out if Empoleon has trouble. If it doesn't know Rain Dance, be sure to take out as many Pokémon as possible before Sunny Day takes effect. If Empoleon doesn't work, use Rhydon to take out everything except Houndoom and Infernape.
Without a good Dark-type, Lucian is a tricky battle. A Giratina with a good Ghost attack should do well. Giratina learns Shadow Claw at level 80, but before that, Shadow Force or Ominous Wind will do enough damage to take out a Psychic-type in 1 shot.
Cynthia has varied types, so 1 specific Pokémon won't be able to win on its own. However, Zapdos has a solid advantage against 3 of them. Heal your team fully before starting, and lead off with something strong to destroy Spiritomb - it has no weakness, and immunity to Fighting, Normal, and Psychic. Try using an Ice-type move against Garchomp, or you can try the risky strategy of hitting it with Giratina's Dragon Claw. Togekiss is weak to Electric, Rock and Ice moves. If you hit it with Zapdos, try to take it out with an accurate attack such as Thunderbolt. Against Togekiss, missing gives it another turn to screw up your battler with a status-changing move. Use Zapdos on Milotic, although you may be forced to overpower Milotic with your high-level Empoleon. For Roserade, use an Ice attack, or Zapdos' Drill Peck. Finally, for Lucario, finding a good type match is hard. If Heatran can survive an attack from Lucario, it should be able to take it down with a powerful Fire-type attack. If you have a Focus Sash, give Heatran that item before battle. If that doesn't work, simply overpower Lucario with something good. If it's not Cynthia's last Pokémon, be sure it doesn't tire out your team bringing it down.
You may have to use many healing items to win. When I cleared the Elite Four in Heartgold, my Alakazam was the only Pokémon still standing at the end. It had no PP for any of its attacks. Be ready for some close calls when you take on this difficult challenge.
