What genre is super mario?
Wikipedia says it's an RPG. Of course there's also sports versions of mario (mario kart)
But what about super mario?
Super Mario Bros. is in the platformer genre, as well as Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy, and other games in the Mario franchise. There are several Super Mario RPG games, including Super Mario RPG, Paper Mario, and Mario & Luigi. There are also many sports-based spinoffs of the Mario franchise.
Originally, all of the Mario games were platformers. The first sports games in the Mario franchise were NES Open Tournament Golf and Super Mario Kart.
