Question
My grandson wants a Super Mario and a Harvest Moon game for Nintendo DS. He lives in Australia and I am in the U.S. I had planned to buy it online there but it is much cheaper here even with the conversion of the money. Are the games compatible? Can he play a game for Nintendo DS purchased in the U.S. on a machine made in Australia?

Answer
Gday,

The Nintendo DS is a universal system like all GB/GBA system.  It has no territory locks so games purchased anywhere in the world will work on it.  IE PAL (Europe/Australia/NZ/UK) NTSC US (USA) NTSC Jap (Japan).  The only thing to be careful of is if you buy a game in another country maybe the menu may not be in English.  (Like Japan and some European Countries like France or Germany)

But being from the USA you should not have any problem.

Hope this Helps.
