hi-i would like to know how much does the memory expansion pack for the n64 improve the games its compatible with-eg command and conquer or quake 2-does it really make it high resolution or just improve it a little bit?thank you

Nintendo 64 expansion pack adds 4 extra megs of memory to the core N64 system.  This in effect doubles the continuos memory up to a huge 8 meg.  So it in effect doubles it.

Some games will allow players to choose a "high-resolution" option, increasing the screen resolution from 320 by 240 pixels to as much as 640 by 480 pixels.  So in effect in some cases it doubles the resolution.  It soes make some games look and run very smooth and crisp provided they where designed to be like that.  I think over all it is in a lot of cases a huge improvement.  There are some game sit does not do much for.  Btu overall if you got it you might as well use it it is a great improvement.

Of the two games you mentioned (Which I also have) I think Command and Conquer comes off better with the Graphics.  Without the expansion pack it is hard to tell which man is what.  With it it makes it easier.  Although the N64 games is a lot dirrerent to the PC game the caractures are more 3D.  Quake II the graphics get a little smoother and I think that is about it.  The one I was amazed at was Shadowman it looks increadibly better with the Expansion pack compaired to the without.  Like watching something on VHS then watching the same thing on DVD.
