Question
HI i'm a long time nintendo fan and I want to maybe get some games for my N64. Would you be able to tell me what you feel are the 3 best games for that system and if you could, give a short reason why for each.
PS i like every type of game so theres no genre i wont enjoy :)Thanks

Answer
Well, that's a tough one. The N64 is one of my favourite consoles, and there were loads of great games available. The following three are my personal favourites, though I'll mention a few more as well...

1) Goldeneye - It was revolutionary for it's time (objective based missions, pioneering 4 player deathmatch etc) and it still holds up well today. It practically invented the console FPS genre, and is probably my most played single and multiplayer game from the N64 years.

2) Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Another huge leap forward for a Nintnedo franchise. The world of Hyrule is huge and immersive, combining platforming and RPGing far more successfully than The Wind Waker on the Cube (though that's great too!). One of the best games ever released on any system

3) F Zero X - I guess this one's controversial - the graphics aren't great, but the control and sensation of speed are stunning. If you like racing games then this is pretty much essential.

Those are just my top three, though. If you like platforming you've got to get Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie. Thent here's 1080, Mario Tennis, Perfect Dark, Blast Corps, Mario Kart, Pilotwings 64... heck, there's plenty of games you can't go wrong with. Enjoy!

I have played games since the early nineties. I can answer questions on the SNES, the Sega Saturn, N64, Dreamcast, Gamecube, Xbox, 360, and DS. I can tell you what games are worth getting, and which aren`t, as well as the history of these systems. While I`m no expert on other systems I`m more than happy to find out things you would like to know about them.
