Console Games (Nintendo, Sony etc.) and Arcade Games/king kong xbox 360

Questionhello. This is actually an old issue but never the less... I got myself King Kong
for xbox 360 a while ago and i played about halfway through when a mistake
in the game made itself evident. I dunno if you are familiar with the game but
its a fps/action game with some cheap riddles like burning away plants to be
able to advance or finding a key etc. Now up to the point i've played i can see
the key i need, but it is behind some plants which need to be burned. The
only thing is there is no fire. I know where it should be but through a bug its
just not there. I'm sure its abug because the game is very linear and i spent
lots of time searching and there already was a bug in the beginning of the
game so i had to start again... but now halfway through, i don't feel like
repeating everything. I already tried to start playing from the level before but
it would still have the same bug. I tried skipping the level with cheats but it
didn't work, i suppose because its a german version and i got the cheats from
an anglish magazine... now have you got any ideas how to solve this
problem? do you think its worth complaining to the developers?
AnswerHello John,
Thanks for the question.I've not come across this issue with the game. I played through it in January 2006 and didn't have this problem, though I remember some keys being quite frustrating to find! I've not seen this problem crop up on the forums either, which makes me think it's probably not a bug. It makes me wonder if perhaps you're missing something in the level - don't worry, I do it often enough in games! If you get back to me with the exact level (and part of the level) you're stuck on I can have a look in a bit more detail as to where the fire is meant to be.
Of course, it is possible (though it would be horrible luck) that you have a corrupt version of the game. I hope not, but it's not beyond the realm of possibility. Beyond that, the only issue I was aware of was that the developers admitted the game appeared as too dark on certain standard definition TVs.
Look forward to hearing from you
Andy
