Question
I just bought a super nintendo system(not for the first time of course i grew up playing one), and i cant get it to work. The guy I bought it from hooked it up on his tv and it worked fine but it wont seem to work on mine. Ive tried it on channel 2, 3, 4, aux, video everything i could think of. I had the video and audio cords hooked and the power cords hooked up right and it didn't work. I bought a game from him which he guarenteed to work and it still isnt turning on. The first few times i tried it the red light on the console came on and then it stopped coming on the lasat few times. If you can give me any advice I would surely appreciate it. Thank you

Answer
I know it sounds stupid, but perhaps the channels aren't tuned in to the correct frequency to recieve the SNES signal. Make sure you've retuned the channels that you're using. Also (and again, it sounds obvious) make sure you've chosen "Game RF" on the unit that connects your SNES to your TV - unlike the Mega Drive\Genesis you need to make sure that you switch this unit to make things work.

However, from what you say about the light on the console going out, it sounds like your console might simply be broken. I hope that's not the case, but it certainly sounds like it.

Good luck, sorry I couldn't help further!

I have played games since the early nineties. I can answer questions on the SNES, the Sega Saturn, N64, Dreamcast, Gamecube, Xbox, 360, and DS. I can tell you what games are worth getting, and which aren`t, as well as the history of these systems. While I`m no expert on other systems I`m more than happy to find out things you would like to know about them.
