Hi my name is Glenn and I have a question I hope you can help with.  I have a sega 1 and a 32x for it. The problem is hooking up the 32x, it needs to be linked to the sega with a cable or cables.  I have had no luck find the cables that I need.  If you can help please write back.

P.S. I have a mega drive 1 on delivery if that could work as well with the 32x, do I need the cables?

The 32x shipped with the following cables/hookups so it was compatable with Genesis/Mega Drive 1 & 2.  It came with a Megadrive/Genesis 2 power supply, a Megadrive/Genesis 2 AV cable a 32X to Megadrive/Genesis 2 Cross connect cable and an addaptor that pluggeded into this so it would also hook up to the Megadrive/Genesis 1.  (also a peice of plastic that fitted the cartridge adaptor so it would sit flat on the Megadrive Genesis 1)

While the AV and Power supplys are easy to find replacements because they where used for the Megadrive/Genesis 2.  I beleive you are looking for the cross connect.  (And the cross connect with adaptor for the Megadrive/Genesis 1.  As the MEgadrive/Genesis 2 crossconnect cable may be easier to find, but not much.  The addaprot for Genesis/Megadrive 1 is much harder to find.)

Since this was the only time this cable was used in sega history your only options are to buy another unit with the cable, luck out and find the cable by it's self or make the the cable.  Since the first couple big money loosers we will go for the last.  (making your own)  You are going to need some technical skill which if you or a frend don't have you going to have to shell out big dollors for.  It is not a simple fact of getting a Genesis/Megadrive 1 & Genesis/Megadrive 2 AV gable and splicing it together (Not enough wires although the RBG/Scart cabels possibly could have)
