Question
i am having trouble with a sunset riders game i recently purchased. at seemingly random times in the game it will freeze, restart or go black completely. if i touch the game while it is in the snes it will also go black. if there is a chance i can repair the game i would be happy because it took me a while to find.

Hmm... does your SNES do this with other games or just with this one? If so, it's a console rather than cartridge problem. Considering the game goes black at the slightest touch, I would be willing to bet it's just not getting a good connection with the console. It may be time to crack open your SNES and give it a thorough cleaning. =)
In general, the problems you are experiencing seem to be related to the connection between the console and the game. The console is having a difficult time reading the game from the cartridge. A good cleaning will probably alleviate this problem. This site does a great job of explaining how to clean and care for SNES cartridges:

Ever since I played "Pong" in the early 80's, I've been a video game aficionado. I cannot answer questions about Action Replay. I cannot answer questions about football, basketball, or wrestling sports games. I also have very limited knowledge about Xbox & Xbox 360 games unless they are cross-platform. If it is an independent game that has not been widely published and/or a game only released in some countries, I may not be able to help with it either (sadly!)
