Expert: Octane - 1/15/2006

Hi There

I've always been a big fan of vertical scrolling shooters, but they are very rare nowadays unless you want the 3D style which is the closest you'll get to that style of game.
What I'm looking for is games like Aero Fighter, Alpha Mission, Ghost Pilots... The list is endless!

Do you know if any of these games have been brought out in any other format for todays systems like PC or console?

They just don't make Virtical or Horizontal scrolling shooting games any more for anything.

About the only one that springs to mind in recient years is Ikaruga (Radiant Silver Gun 2) Gamecube and PS2. But that is a while ago a year or so ago.  

About the only other one I can think that has been re-released is 1942 on the Capcom Collections disk.

Which is a shame as I am also a big fan of these games but they seemed to have be cast asside.  (Loved Twin Cobra and Strikers or Raiden series)

About the only hope is some of the Classic Collections of re-released games popping up on various systems.
