Question
I am building a new front porch. I am using #1 metal roofing(painted). The roof will be 10' x 7' including overhang. I am wanting to make the roof drop 2 inches from back to front (7 feet). Is this enough drop? I live in Tn. not much snow, mostly heavy rain. I can not find this specific pitch in my local county codes.

Answer
1/4" per foot is the minimum for water runoff.  2" in 8' is the number to calc.  You are there.  If you have any snow.....make sure the structure will support that load.  10" of now equals 1" of water.  Calc weight of water and be sure you have the support needed for the area.
