Question
I have a small studio that i am going to build. It will sit on top of a concrete slab. once it is dry I plan to acid stain the concrete. Does the texture of the finished slab need to be very smooth - little ruff or should use a floor sander to give the floor a extra smooth finish before the acid stain.

It depends on what finish you would want to have for the end product. If you want a smooth finish you will have to sand it with a floor sander before you stain it. I would suggest to have it smooth as it helps you while staining(designs) and secondly its easier to clean.
