Question
How long does it take to put up a crane?

Answer
Many different types of cranes so many different answers to this question.
On the quicker end of things you have hydraulic cranes which have extendable booms and outriggers and can set themselves up in an hour or less. These cranes can have lifting capacity of several hundred tons or more.
The conventional rigs that you see on heavy or highway projects have the boom on a series of semi tractor/ trailer combonations and they take a few hours to set up
The tower cranes (either luffing or straight) can take several days to build up depending on size and configuration.
