Question
I have an existing interior structure. 32 X 12 made of wood. One supporting wall is cinder block 8X8X12. Ceiling joyces standard 2X8 every 18". what is the load capacity?
What would the load capacity be if all four supporting walls were cinder block? Thank you

I'm afraid your load capacity is not extremely high. A 2 x 8 span is at it's limit for floor loading of 30#/s.f. The spacing should be 16" on center and with cross bridging. The walls can be wood or block. The wood should be with studs also at 16" o.c. Block walls do not increase the load capacity. 2 x 10 joists would be better.
