Question
Could you please tell me how to prove someone is acting as an employee vs. independent contractor.  I think my electrician is using someone else's license.  Thank You.

Answer
if you have hired him for a specific job he is an independent contractor.  If he we working by the hour or weekly directly for you he is an employee.  If he is working under someone else's license he may still be any independent or employee however he could be risking the licensee.

Whether he is work under his license or someone else's does not determine if he is an independent contractor or employee,
