4 weeks ago a plasterer came and skimmed our living room. it was over paint but he did use pva first. it is now starting to crack and im not sure why. I would like another rough opinion as i think he's going to try and pull the wool over my eye's.
most cracks are vertical and a couple horizontal.

Sorry I can't give you an intelligent answer simply because there are many variables involved to solving your situation.

At this time you calling the contractor back to review the problem is the right move.

If you used  a local experienced contractor with a good background,I would feel confident that a solution would be forthcoming.

google ( plaster problems )  Maybe you can find a similar situation that will give you some background information when you meet with your contractor
