Question
Hi. If a Large mistake has been made in a tender application due to an adding error (20%), is there recourse for the applicant to correct the error, or does this have to be accepted as final?
If there is opportunity other than a correction factor, what would it be?
Many Thanks

Answer
I have made an error on a public bid.Because I was the low bidder by a considerable amount,I reviewed my bid and found in recapping ,I omitted the electrical quote.I immediately called the architect, who took the bids and explained my error.

He with the permission of the public body ok'd me to withdraw my bid without penalizing my bid performance bond.

The second low bid also had an error, and he too was allowed to withdraw his bid without penalty.

The third low bidder was awarded the project.

Not having all the facts of your problem,I would highly suggest calling the parties in charge and explain your error a s a p.

In my case I immediately produced evidence of  my error by forwarding my bid estimate sheet.

Good luck and hoping you have a cooperative party
