Question

Retaining wall
Hello, I have an eighty foot retaining wall that goes from 6 foot to 2 foot at the street.
The wall has cracked in two places at the 6 foot end and buckled out about 3 or 4 inches at the top.
I was wondering if I could put anchor rods through the wall and either pull or hold the wall in place for a few more years until it is time for my pine overcoat. The concrete is 12 inches thick top to bottom with very little reinforcing rods. Thanks, Bob L.

Answer
Dear Bob,

I may be wrong, but from the photo you attached to your message I see no big danger for the wall to collapse.
So if I was you I would leave the wall as it is and just leave some green (bush, "hanging" or "falling" plant) to "cover" the crack.
The nature is not perfect but is much more beautiful than our concrete world.

Respectfully yours,
Emilian
