Question
My construction company has just won a tender to build four schools for the State Government.

As Project Manager, I have been asked by the Government to join an expert panel to short list those companies who have tendered for the commissioning of these four schools.

What areas should I consider when making my recommendations for the short list?

2 size of company in relation to size of project
3 financial ability to perform
4 types of trades performed by prime contractor. the more trades gives company more control of work and scheduling
5 personel to be used on the project as far as experience and knowledge of type of project
6 check past references
7 your gut feeling as to integrity of the company and their staff
8 verify bid processing of contract documents

Note. a difficult task to give answers to a lot of unknown factors.
