Question
Dear Mr. Maltese,
Since you are an expert in the construction industry, I would like to know your opinion on the future of the cement industry in the US. What would be the starting point to start a cement plant? costs? How competitive is that industry?
Thank you
Al Alamo

Answer
I believe the future in construction will continue to grow and expand in three areas: glass, synthetic materials and concrete in the US and the world.

I do not know anything about starting a cement plant.  It is a competitive market and supplies are becoming limited as more are being used in China.
