Hi - We have commercial vinyl tiles installed in a store we have rented and would like to have them buffed and polished.
What is the procedure, what materials are used, and how much should I expect to pay per sq ft?
(and any other info you may think would be useful).

Find out the name of the manufacturer, of the tiles.  If they are truly a commercial type, they should have been properly cleaned immediately after the installation to remove any protective coat the manufacturer puts on them to protect from topical scratches or abrasions during shipment.  That information should have been in the cartons that contained the tiles.  If you have the name of the manufacturer, of the tiles, go to their website and download their maintenance information for these tiles.  Don't rely on a maintenance company using their choice of cleaning agents and techniques.  Each tile manufacturer has their own maintenance information, so obtain that and then give it to the maintenance company of your choice to make certain they use the proper cleaning agents and techniques.  If you cannot find the name of the manufacturer of the tiles, give us a call and have your bill of sale ready, and we may be able to help you.  Where are you located?  We may be able to give you a suggested maintenance company.  You can reach us at, 973-334-9747.  We are in New Jersey, however we have floor covering inspections that cover every city and town in all 50 States and in all the Provinces of Canada.
