Question
Dear Stephen, I'm building a fish pond and I'm unable to have it ready mixed due to the cost of it haveing to be pumped( if I was State side I'd get a good deal but in the UK every one seems to whant your last penny), anyway I have worked out the amount to 3.3cubic meters or 4 cubic yards, the job has be done in one go so I need to make shure I have enough material.
To give good strenth I'm doing a 3:1 mix, the sand & gravel is in 25kilo bags(20mm gravel[3/4ins]) and the cement in 25kilo bags also.Can you tell me approx. how much of each I need to do the job ? I have all ready taken 8tons of s&g +2.5 tons of concrete through the house I just do not wish to run short.

ps this is only the base, everything else I have worked out & the size of the hole is 18ft x 9ft x 7ft 10ins deep( in which I'd like to put 8ins of concrete)
