Construction Law/Deletion of item from BOQ in a Lumpsum Contract

May i add to this discussion,

when deleting a work item that is described under the BOQ by line item for example we deleted block work in 5th floor, and the boq reads as this:

         QTY     UR    Amount

Block work 5th floor     200     75     15000

Block work other        5000     75     375000

when measuring the quantity in 5th floor it was say 270 m2, so under a lumpsum contract what is the amount deductable 200 or 270, in other words can the client deduct an amount that is greater than the line item in the boq?

Dear Sir,

If there is no change in the drawings, contractor should be get paid full contract amount if even BOQ has extra item/quantity or less quantity.

Please advise

Value . . .
It's unwise to pay too much, but it's unwise to pay too little. When you pay too much you lose a little money, that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing you bought it to do.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. It can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it's well to add something for the risk you run.
And if you do that, you will have enough to pay for something better.
