Is site diary and inspection reports confirmed by Engineer's substantial basis for additional claims (if applicable) by the Contractor?

Dear Mr. EDZ,

Thanks for your Questions. Yes, You are right. The Site Diary, Inspection Report, Communication correspondences (Engineer to contractor) are valid documents for the substantial of claims. Refer the Conditions of Contract 1.7, 1.8 also confirming the same.
