Question
Dear Wael,

Would be activating the schedule of payment sub clause in FIDIC 99 turns the contract from remeasured into lump sum price?
If not, how could we predetermine the installments to be paid whereas the quantities are remeasured?

Regards,
Aziz

Answer
Dear Aziz
FIDI 99 is for re-measured contract. In case you need to have a lump sum contract, you need to delete scl 12.1.
When you do a re-measured contract, the Contract price may be changing every time you do an interim payment depending on the actual executed quantities.
