Value . . .
It's unwise to pay too much, but it's unwise to pay too little. When you pay too much you lose a little money, that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing you bought it to do.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. It can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it's well to add something for the risk you run.
And if you do that, you will have enough to pay for something better.

A lean compromise is better than a fat lawsuit. George Herbert (English poet 1593-1633)

But I wholly forgot (and it vexes me much)
That English is what you speak!" Hunting of the Snark - Lewis Caroll

Question -
i would like to know more about types of common disputes in relation to variation of work.
Answer -
Hi Tay,

I don't do homework questions so please give me more details about your request, including the form of contract.  In general disputes arise over quantities, money and time.

Answer
Hi Tay,

I say again that I do not do homework questions, and you did not mention where you are studying and the form of contract in use.  For English law, you could try the following websites
http://www.atkinson-law.com/
http://www.fenwick-elliott.co.uk/index.htm
http://www.scl.org.uk/
http://www.drb.org/index.htm

There are many, many others for different legal systems, especially in USA, if you do a web search for sites of construction lawyers
