Container Gardens/container grown hydrangea

Question
I live on the Wisconsin Illinois border.  I was given a hydrangea growing in a very large container and it's doing beautifully right now.  My question is how do I winter this plant?

Answer
Hi Fran, build an enclosure, chicken wire or something that will allow you to fill it with leaves (best choice) or straw, something light that will insulate without breaking any of the terminal branches where your flowers in the spring will develop; be inventive, just be careful not to have the filling weigh too much.
