QUESTION: No Nick the growing medium has never been changed, but i'm not sure i would be able to as it has grown to about 14feet tall.
Answer Colin, you may be forced to take drastic measures and cut it back severely and let it regenerate new sprouts; otherwise you will need to devise a way to move that crowded rootball to another container. The problem is definitely the old medium in the container,it needs to be changed out. Nick
