Container Gardens/bonfire patio peach

Question
I bought a dwarf bonfire patio peach tree and planted it in the ground. To my surprise, this tree has sprouted new branches and is now 7ft tall and with green leaves (with the exception of the original planting)
How do I prune this tree and when do the leaves change to the burgundy color like the branches from the original trunk of the tree.

Answer
Hi Bobbie, its a miracle of nature that takes time, many trees/plants that have vivid color in the final leaf version, start out with normal green leaves. Be patient with your tree, it sounds like it is doing just fine, watch and enjoy the process, as it changes the pigmentation over time. The exact process of change will be determined by the individual tree, but again, as long as it is growing normal size leaves and is healthy, don't be concerned with the time span to burgundy leaves.
