Question
Kia orana.  My name is Taiti from Rarotonga, Cook Islands in the South Pacific.  I have potted my anthurium plants in coconut fibres and still have not bloomed yet.  I am wondering what have I done wrong?  I am watering them alot nearly every 2 days and also they are not in direct sunlight.  why won't they bloom?

Answer
Hi Taiti, their requirements are pretty basic, high humidity, damp medium at all times and a steady indirect light, (no shady location). It sounds like you are doing everything right, (except you didn't mention if you were keeping them misted..). If the Anthurium is healthy and growing, then the "Spathes" (flowers) will come, you only need be patient. Nick
