Question Recently i had a Hydranga Tree added to my yard. It gets full sun. I noticed that a few leaves turned yellow. Then the next day more turned. Is it alright? How does the Tree grow, how big, how tall. I'm ready to take it out and plant something else. It is bothering me that it may not be doing well.
Thank you
Barbara
Answer Hi Barbara, It will get upwards of 8 feet when mature, and is very easy to care for, the yellowing leaves could be an indication of too much water; if it has been recently planted it would require adequate irrigation initially, but if your soil is clay, it could be holding too much water , hence the stress and leaf yellowing. Let me know if it is getting a lot of water and if it is getting sufficient Sun, albeit it really likes a spell of shade sometime during the day. Nick
