Question
alb, new mex... not really winter yet, but I want to winterize the dahlias in my barrels, which did fantastic!!! when exactly can I take them out, and so many suggestions on how to store them?

Answer
Hi Rebecca, rather then me trying to explain the "best" way to winterize these tubers, I am going to give you a site to google, this site explains in detail what I consider the absolute best way to winterize your tubers; the time to lift them , is after they have been touched by frost and are dying back from the crown. The site to go to is "No fuss Dahlia storage", you will be very happy with the explanation, and because of its length and detail, I hope you understand why I feel it is better for you to go there, rather then me trying to paraphrase.
