Contemporary Art - M. Sardim

Expert: Ben Mahmoud - 3/11/2008

Question
Hi, I'm not sure if this is the appropriate forum in which to ask this question, but I am looking for information on M. Sardim.

I have an original painting of San Fransisco China town that I would like to get more information about.

Answer
I have not heard of Sardim.  There are thousands of artists out there.  However, a web search turned up one hit.  And it was a good one. The RoGallery on Long Island, NY has a Sardim for sale.  They are asking $2,500 for the work.  The size of their painting is 20 x 24 inches. It is a painting of the Seine.  It is dated 1975.

Here is the web address.  I think you only need to click on the following link:

http://www.rogallery.com/Sardim/Sardim-La-Seine.htm

My guess is that you could contact the gallery and they might give you the price range of the work.  They will certainly be able to tell you something about the artist.  From the name, I would guess that he came from Turkey.

Good luck, and I hope that I have been of some help.
