Question Hi Ben I have an old painting of a Paris street scene with Maxim's restaurant on the left and a building in the background resembling the pantheon the painting is signed but I can not make out who the artist is this is very old as it belonged to my mothers mother.
Please help I am in South Africa.

Answer From the information you have given me, it could be one of a couple of thousand paintings.
Is there a date on the painting? How about the back? What is its size? What is it painted on? And most importantly, I would have to see the painting in order to make an educated guess.
