Question I am a Board member of the National Organization ANTSHE (Association for Non-Traditional Students in Higher Education) We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the adult learner. We have two scholarships that we award each year at our conferences but recently it has come to our attention that we may need to expand upon our services in that area. We are also looking for grant writers that may be able to help us apply for grants for scholarships. Can someone help me find out about which grants to apply for for our organization?
Answer Hello Ms. Mitchell,
Thank you for asking a question. I have to admit that I am not an expert in grant writing, but we do have resident experts here. Let me introduce you to Wayne Groner:
Based on his profile, I believe that he would be better suited to answering your question about grants. Will you re-ask your question to Mr. Groner or one of the other experts in fundraising?
As I prepared to answer you question, I was intrigued by the name of your organization and checked it out. What a wonderful organization for non-traditional students! I fully support your organization's mission:
"ANTSHE is an international partnership of students, academic professionals, institutions, and organizations whose mission is to encourage and coordinate support, education, and advocacy for the adult learner."
My personal mission mirrors ANTSHE's...and it is my honor to provide this small encouragement to your organization as you minister to the non-traditional student.
If I can be of future service, please let me know,
Regards,
Cindy Wolfe
