Question: QUESTION: hello sir
I m trying to change my engineering electronics major to HF , ergo , IE major
for that I think thats study or scholars is the best solution for that specially when it will be (not more than 1.5 year)
but my circumstance didn't let me search for scholar or doing studies in this duration, so I decided to apply for job in that field to gain experience with time & also do self studies in thats field in my leisure or spare time so whats your opinion ?
there are other questions ;
1- is there any courses in the human factors , ergonomics or industrial engineer (short term courses ) 3 weeks to 6 month
which let me acquire a approved certification which will be an access point to ergonomics world , whats your opinion if that exist , can you suggest me some resources ? (I m not US or canada resident)
2- what about taking an internship , can I apply for an internship despite I havent any past studies in ergonomics or human factor , but I have a bachelor degree in electronics ?
3- what about courses in SAFETY is can be approach to IE,ergo,HF Field ?
wish to hear from you soon
thanks

I would get on the computer and see if you have enough schooling to obtain a degree in the Occupational Health and Safety field. Their are a lot of courses available on-line.
2- what about taking an internship , can I apply for an internship despite I havent any past studies in ergonomics or human factor , but I have a bachelor degree in electronics ?
I do not know where you are? Many companies take on interns to help with the workload. Normally you must be enrolled in school at the time and your school advisor should have a list of companies that need help.
3- what about courses in SAFETY is can be approach to IE,ergo,HF Field ?
Were I you I would put the ergo stuff on the back burner for awhile. This field has been reduced on the importance scale. Many companies simply gave up on the standard when it was recalled.
Get involved with people like the American Society of Safety Engineers or folks like that. They have a lot going on most of the time.
Good luck to you

I understood from your sound thats ergonomics is field has been reduced on the importance scale , & safety engineer is more better
are you mean that really ? need further explanation if the point no.3
Answer: Hi again purple,
Yes the US OSHA recalled the standard until it could be re-written. Remember OSHA takes a long, long time to produce a standard. Companies have viewed the OSHA recall of the standard as one of; If they do not require it, we don't have to do it. However: the standard had the right idea in principal, ie; employees injuries due to repetitive movement. The thing is, when the standard came out my office was buried alive with training classes. Now, I do maybe one class a year and then the companies only want an abbreviated version of the course. I don't expect this to change anytime soon. So, if you are in the field to make money, your going to have a really hard time doing it with ergo training. Once again, I would focus on the industrial health and safety.
