Question Hi
I am a 23 year old female interested in attending a university, I would like to know if adults can take the ACT/SAT test?
Kind Regards
Schlain
Answer Hello Schlain,
Thanks for asking a question. According to the ACT website, "People of all ages and grade levels are eligible to take the ACT. This includes students in grades 6, 7, 8, and 9 and high school graduates. Of course you'll need to register and pay the test fees."
The Collegeboard administers the SAT. The SAT is generally taken by high school seniors.
However, the only reason you would want to pay the fee and take the SAT or ACT is if your college requires it. It is best to contact the school and find out from the admissions counselor if the scores are necessary.
