Question
hi Diane, I've been on the Marina for the past 3 years i'm 38 years old now and am trying to fall pregnant, i took out the loop 2 months ago and have still not had period. is this normal  ? does this mean that i am not ovulating ?

Answer
Hi Laura,

Thanks for your question. I have done research about Mirena IUD in the past and I have read where it can take a while to have a period after you have it removed. This is not abnormal, I would say. Also, the research I did say that you could be having ovulation but it is not 100% sure. Sorry I can not tell you more. Why don't you check with your doctor about all this. Have you heard of Natural Family Planning? You can find some information about it on the internet so you can learn how to plan for pregnancy. Good luck!
