Question
hi, my baby is due end of may and im thinking of the contraception i will use after the birth. to be honest i want to give my body a rest from the pill and me and my husband want to just use condoms. i used them for few years and never any breaks, then went on the pill , then came off to concieve.

im just wary that condoms split, as ive heard stories etc even though i consider them quite good and if one broke would we know?
i dont want to end up pregnant x

Answer
Hi Vicky,

Thanks for your question. As I always do, I recommend that you talk to your doctor about this. However, in my opinion, the condom would not be safe enough for what you want because it is not 100% effective.
I would suggest that you find out more about NFP, Natural Family Planning. You can do a search for it on the internet or go to this site http://www.allexperts.com and find the Natural Family Planning expert and ask her. This is most natural birth control method that doesn't use hormones. Congratulations on your baby! Please email me and let me know how you are doing. Would love to see a pic of your little one!
