Contraception and VD/New Pills

Question
I started taking seasonal instead of linessa because the other ones weren't regulating my period. I started on a sunday instead of Thursday one week after i finished the last package of the linessa. So there was 11 days instead of 7 between pills. I missed one pill on my 6th day of the pack. I had sex with my husband on day 3, 5, and 6 of the pack... Could I be pregnant??? Does the new pill even work right away since I didn't take it until 11 days after I finished the last pack???

Answer
Hi Rosanna,

Thanks for your question. I'm not a medical doctor so please check with your physician about your health questions. In my opinion, there is a slight chance that you could be pregnant. It's hard to tell, when you missed the pill and then being off for 11 days. With all the factors, I would recommend taking a pregnancy test. You can get a free one at a pregnancy resource center. If you want to find one in your area, just call 1-800-395-HELP or go to http://www.optionline.org and if you don't live in U.S. then go to this website http://www.heartbeatinternational.org/worldwide_directory.asp
Please email me at DWooley97@yahoo.com and let me know what happens.
Do you want to have a baby? Do you have any children?

Sincerely,
Diane W.
