hi my name is karen an i recently had a marina implant put in for birth control, since then i have experienced rapid weight gain infact 15 kls. i also have stopped having a menstral cycle although i sill get the bloating, irrebility and tender breast but no bleeding. i also experience random spotting from time to time for no reason. is this the norm or should i be concerned? will my weight gain stop or even out or will it continue? im very cioncerned an wondering have others experienced similar things regards karen
Hi Karen,

So yes, it is somewhat normal to have weight gain. I don't recommend this or any kind of hormonal birth control method.
